Entrance Procedures

Entrance procedures are different according to your status, whether you will apply for the Student Visa, or you will apply for the short stay visa.

Applicants applying for College Student Visa

  1. Please request an Application for Admission.
  2. ECC will send you the Required Documents for Application, List of Enrollment Requirements, and Pamphlet.
  3. Fill in the Required Documents for Application and prepare the necessary documents.
  4. The screening test will be given in your country. ECC will inform you of the time and date of the screening test. If the screening test is not arranged in your country, you will be given the test on the phone, etc.
  5. Next, mail the Required Documents for Application to ECC.
  6. ECC will check the submitted documents, and if there is anything lacking, ECC will contact you. If there is no problem, the document check is done.
  7. ECC will ask the Immigration Bureau to issue your Certificate of Eligibility.
  8. The Immigration Bureau will check your Embarkation/Disembarkation Card and submitted documents. If there is no problem, the certificate will be issued.
  9. After ECC will contact you that the Certificate of Eligibility has been issued, remit the set school expenses to the bank account that ECC specifies.
  10. After ECC has confirmed the payment, ECC will send you the Letter of Admission Certificate and the Certificate of Eligibility.
  11. Go to the precinct Consular Office of Japan with the Enrollment Permission Certificate and the Certificate of Eligibility to apply for a visa. Please come to Japan by the day ECC specifies.

Applicants applying for Short Stay Visa (90 days).

  1. Please request an Application for Admission.
  2. ECC will send you the Required Documents for Application, List of Enrollment Requirements, and Pamphlet.
  3. Fill in the Required Documents for Application and prepare necessary documents.
  4. Next, mail the Required Documents for Application to ECC.
  5. ECC will check the submitted documents, and if there is anything lacking, ECC will contact you.
  6. ECC will interview you via phone to confirm contents of the documents. If there is no problem, ECC will contact you of that, so please remit school expenses to the bank account that ECC specifies.
  7. After ECC has confirmed the payment, ECC will send you Letter of Admission.
  8. Go to the precinct Consular Office of Japan with the Letter of Admission to apply for a visa. Please come to Japan by the day ECC specifies.

Applicants not applying for College student Visa

  1. Please request an Application for Admission.
  2. ECC will send you the Required Documents for Application, List of Enrollment Requirements, and Pamphlet.
  3. Fill in the Required Documents for Application and prepare necessary documents.
  4. Next, mail the Required Documents for Application to ECC or come to ECC with the Documents.
  5. ECC will check the submitted documents, and if there is anything lacking, ECC will contact you.
  6. ECC will interview you via phone or interview you directly to check contents of the documents. If there is no problem, ECC will tell you that you passed the school check. Then, remit school expenses to the bank account that ECC specifies.
  7. Please come to Japan by the day ECC specifies.
