Long-Term Course

This is a regular course for more than a year. You can apply for a study visa.

This is a general course in which you can learn the 4 skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) in a balanced manner.

Japanese General Skills Course (Honka, Senka)

In this course, students learn practical Japanese language skills (grammar, reading, listening, speaking) through authentic usage and application in real situations. Our teaching style goes beyond the conventional rote-learning style. Students of all levels (elementary to intermediate) learn under the same teaching methodology, choosing one of the two courses, Honka (Regular Course) or Senka (Communication Course), and then once at advanced level according to their future goals.

  • (1)Students can acquire authentic Japanese useful in a practical situations.
  • (2)Thorough acquiring of the 4 skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) through practical training.
  • (3)The curriculum for the advanced level is developed according to the student's goals for the future.

Practice classes are offered to advanced students twice a week during the 4th and 5th period as elective subjects.

Curriculum

Beginner Level(450h)
Students learn the basic elements of Japanese, basic grammar, Hiragana, Katakana and about 400 Kanji during the first 6 months. Able to take part in everyday conversation, can pass JLPT N4 Level
Term 2
Intermediate Level(450h)
This level is for students who have learned basic Japanese. Students learn various expressions and develop their reading, writing, listening and speaking ability. Able to manage problems in daily life, express feelings or ideas in Japanese, can pass JLPT N2 Level
Term 3,4
Advanced Level 1, 2(450h × 2)
Honka (Learning Academic Japanese for Higher Learning) Senka (Students learn authentic Japanese useful for practical communication)

■Content

The course teaches the Japanese necessary for entrance to a university or graduate school. Students work to improve their ability to write essays, conduct discussions and debate.

■Content

Students practice speaking Japanese every day to improve their communication ability in order to be able to use natural Japanese in various situations. In addition, they learn about topics relevant to work or daily life.

■Goals

  • Improve your academic Japanese
  • Advance to graduate school or university
  • Pass the N1 level of the JLPT

  • Employment at a Japanese company or entrance into a vocational college
