Important Notice [Update]
April 12, 2021

Dear students and guardians,

[Important] Regarding the ECC College Group response towards new Coronavirus infections (updated April 12)

With the government's decision to apply "Priority Measures to Prevent Spread" to Osaka Prefecture, we are updating some basic policies of our colleges. The target period is from April 5, 2021 (Monday) to May 5, 2021 (Wednesday).
This page summarizes our colleges response towards new coronavirus infections. Future alerts and countermeasures will be posted on this page and the student app as needed. The number of infected people is increasing nationwide due to movement and gatherings, especially in areas where eating and drinking are involved. Please take sufficient measures against infection when moving and gathering. We will continue to monitor the situation, make changes when necessary, and continue to keep everyone notified.

1. Regarding attendance
When entering the college building, please follow the instructions of the faculty and staff at the entrance by checking your temperature and disinfecting your hands. If you have cold symptoms such as a fever or a cough before going to school, please consult a medical professional immediately and stay home. Also, please contact the school office and inform them of your situation.

2. Regarding classes
(1) Classes will be conducted face-to-face or online after taking sufficient infection prevention measures into consideration.
* "Face-to-face classes" including general lessons, practical training and regular exams to be held in classrooms
* "Online lessons" refers to all lesson styles except face-to-face instruction, such as distribution of teaching materials, submission of assignments, etc.
*The principal of each college reserves the right to decide which course of action to take, based on college policy.

(2) Students who cannot attend classes (including regular exams) due to reasons such as securing a physical condition confirmation term and having cold symptoms such as a fever or an infection will not be treated as absent, which means it will affect student credit acquisition. Please contact the Academic Affairs Division (Academic Affairs Secretariat) of your designated college for consultation.

3. Precautions on campus
(1) After class, except for students who study by themselves, please return home promptly and refrain from staying on campus.
(2) Wear a mask on campus at all times and refrain from talking loudly.
(3) Avoid gathering in groups in a space where there is no ventilation.
(4) Thoroughly prevent infection by disinfecting hands, wearing a mask, and enforcing cough etiquette.
(5) Smoking area has been reported as the area of high risk of infection, we strongly advise against sharing cigarettes.

4. Regarding precautions against infection in your daily life
(1) Please ensure to take sufficient nutrition and sleep every day, and perform appropriate health management checks such as daily body temperature measurement.
If you feel any change in your physical condition, do not go to school and consult a medical institution immediately and follow their instructions.

(2) If you are in poor physical condition, take a PCR test directed by a health center or medical institution.
If a close friend or family member living with you tested as positive, or has been contacted by the health center as a close contact, be sure to contact the college immediately. Please follow the instructions given.
(3) Regarding part-time jobs, please refrain from working part-time if the working environment has little to no ventilation, sealed, crowded, or do not enforce wearing of a mask.
* There is a "Yamaguchi Gakuen Short-term Loan System" for the purpose of financial support for students. You may receive a loan of 50,000 yen (maximum limit) without interest
For further information, please contact the secretariat of your assigned college.

When eating and drinking, the risk of infection increases due to droplets.
We would like to request that you wear a mask while eating and drinking.

In particular, eating with a group of people, drinking, parties, karaoke, etc.
(6) During the target period from April 5, 2021 (Monday) to May 5, 2021 (Wednesday), please avoid unnecessary and unurgent movement to other prefectures as much as possible.
