Thai foreign student from our school won Best Performance Award at the National Japanese Speech Contest
On the 5th of February, the 30th National Association of Colleges for Foreign Students of Japanese’s National Japanese Speech Contest took place at the Osaka YMCA International Cultural Center.
This was a national contest, sponsored by the National Association of Colleges for Japanese Language Education and supported by the Ministry of Education and the National Association of Vocational Schools of Japan.
Thirteen foreign students of Japanese, representatives of vocational schools from all over the country, were chosen to compete with each other.
With participants from the Philippines, Sweden, Italy, Vietnam, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Bahrain and Thailand, this year’s National Japanese Speech Contest turned out to be a wonderfully international event.
Every speech lasted 5 minutes, and it was judged by a jury of university professors and publishers, based on the technique, the content, the way of speaking and the impression left.
Khonharn Phanwipha (Thailand) from Class 1 of the Japanese Language Course of our school, in her speech titled “My cheer for my friends fighting to realize their dreams”, took inspiration from her moving experiences as a foreign student to talk about her heart’s most deep feelings. Congratulations Khonharn Phanwipha!
We wish that all of our foreign students, through the study of Japanese, would be able to express their opinions and point of views, so that maybe one day, we will be able to reach world peace by mutual understanding between different people and different cultures.
